Arctic Monkeys shot live on the NME awards tour in 2006 at the Cambridge Corn Exchange.
This was a wild show of material from the band’s first album “Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not” with such an energetic crowd that security deemed it unsafe to open the barrier to allow me out at the end of my three-songs-no-flash quota. Much to the chagrin of frontman Alex Turner, I had zero complaints about such a front-row seat to one of the band’s intimate early shows.
